A Rant About People Who Will Clap and Cheer

I normally don’t go into a rant, but something caught my eye the other day about people who will clap and cheer about and with you.

Day To Day

People will clap and cheer

Day to day living is a challenge and people will clap and cheer for you as you go through life.  However, step outside of the “Box” and many of those same people will shun you.

It’s not their intention to shun you, some are trying to protect you while others will shake there head, roll their eyes back and tell you not to cause waves.  Just follow like everyone else, stay in line.

Let’s find out what happens when you decide to step outside of the “Box.”

You go to your first high school prom and people will clap and cheer for you.

You granulate from high school and people will clap and cheer for you.

You go to college and people will clap and cheer for you.

You graduate from college with between $30-$50,000 in debt, people clap and cheer for you.

You get your first job and people will clap and cheer for you.

You get married and spend between $5-$20,000 thousand for ONE day, people will clap and cheer for you.

You take a $400 thousand + loan from the bank to buy your first house, people will clap and cheer for you.

You take a $40 thousand + loan for a car (a depreciating asset) with interest, people will clap and cheer for you.

That’s $510,000 in total debt that MOST people are living in, and somehow they are feeling good about it because people are congratulating you for what you have done.

After all, your following the crowd and doing what everyone else is doing.

Start Your Own Business

Don’t let anyone steal your dreams.

Now, go and tell those same people who clapped and cheered for you, you spent around $1,000 to start your own business.

 “It’s a scam”

 “You’re crazy”

 “What if it doesn’t work?”

“Can you get your money back?”

“What if people laugh at you?”

   “I know a place that’s hiring.”

“It’s going to be hard to get people to support you.”

“I thought you were smarter than that.”

“You have a job.  Work at your job.”

“How can you spend $1,000 dollars on something you know nothing about?”

Some of these same people who cheered you won’t even share or like your new adventure. They won’t help you promote your business. They won’t even encourage you but will try to get you to quit.

They will start to tell you everything negative about what it is that you’re doing.

Picture a bucket full of crabs with no lid. The moment a crab tries to get out, the other crabs will literally rip its legs off.

This year, pay attention to who you’re surrounding yourself with and who’s supporting you with your decisions.

Your Life

It’s your life, live it as you want.  Want to follow the crowd?  Do It.  Want to stand out from the crowd?  Do It

Success is created by you, and you only.

Don’t let anyone steal your dreams.

Have a great life.
